^^^ our state is broke and run by complete idiots - so they use **** like vehicle registration to drum up money...

you're probably in a state that doesn't have this problem.

Its all BS!

I'm always amazed by how many ppl think its great here... I've been here all my life - and for the last five-ten years it is ****! Finally ppl are realizing it and leaving (I'd like to leave)...

The only hope for CA natives is that enough ppl gtf out that it becomes decent again... but we need a revamped legislative process...

i just checked and i paid $439 for DEC.

^^^ I wonder if they base current value from depreciation of original purchase price (instead of kbb type of appraisal)?

That could explain why some pay more and some less

I paid $480 this March in Arizona state which also includes the specialty plate. BTW, our sales tax in my city is 10.925% for restaurants and 9.925% for others.

We are expecting an increase on the sales tax on the 1st of January again (3 years in a row).

huh? Did you move?... I know you are registered in AZ - but you live in my city - our tax isn't that high.... where are you living homie?
