Can you post more details Steve? Are we actually going to be driving the cars, Toyota is just gonna let anyone with a license go up there and drive? If I go I'll be there at 10:00 AM on saturday.

 

I just went through their website and read through the info. Sounds like a Mazda Rev It Up type event with more fun stuff to do. I had a great time at Rev It Up and I think this event will be just as much fun. I signed up Sat 11am.

Okay, here are a few things that I've seen on the site that make it look really interesing, but first off regarding the driving question. According to their site, "Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license onsite to participate."

Oh, and it's FREE! All you have to do is register on their website.

The Totyota: Put It In Play website (<-click on the link) list 4 events where you driver Toyota Vehicles:

Pro Driver Speedtag
Three amatuers (sorry, that's you) and one professional driver motor through an obstacle course at high speed, changing driveers at every lap. After you've given it a go behind the wheel, buckle up for the final lap - now the pro's driving, and you're along for the ride. Car: Corolla.

Capture the Checkered Flag
You and yoru friends cruise through a tight course, stopping only to capture your opponent's flag and swith drivers. First team to four wins. The losers lose, because they're losers. Car: Matrix.

High Octane Red Light Green Light
You're gotta be fast on the gas, faster on the brake. It's an all-out race, won by whoever's got the quickest reflexes. Remember: go on the green, not in between. Cars: Corolla and Matrix.

Vehicular Dodgeball (For some odd reason, this one I'm really looking forward to.)
That's right, dodgeball. In a car. A moving car. That your'e driving. Motor through a racecourse, while evading flying giant red *****. It's the kind of thing you wanted to do as a little kid, but never could. Ah, but now you can. Car: Celica.

Sorry about any typos, but I basically copied the website's description of the driving events. I'm not sure if everyone would like to meet up beforehand, but my friend signed me up on Sat @11am (I believe). It's a free event, and I just thought I'd spread the info, and it looks like a few will be there at the same time I will be, so that will be cool.

There's also a Co-Ed Playground : If you just play our driving games all day, your head might explode. And Toyota's lawyers definitely are ot into that. Roll over icons for info on other cool stuff you can do at the event.

And the stuff they have listed are things like: Skee-Ball, Car-E-Oke, Prize Booth, World's Biggest Dodge Ball Game (I believe they've contacted Guiness about that), Pop-A-Shot B-Ball, and Retro Cafeteria (I like they're description on this one - "The lunch ladies are back, but now they're young and hot and serving much better food").

Not sure. I'm guessing they'll be checking IDs to ensure that you're at least the minimum age.
