After installing my BERK'S I had a right bank sensor die which I replaced and then needed a tune due to a lean condition. SpecialtyZ Osiris tuned my coupe so I no longer throw the CES warning and now I'm wondering if I will pass the sniffer? I'll find out the first part of January, scary not knowing!

I'm moving to So Cal around Feb of next year. I'm going to need to smog before I can register the G in CA. And if any of you knows "somebody" who does smog, shoot me a PM and cost. I'll be moving to the north OC area Thanks!

Took SLICK in for her smog check this AM and failed. Techs were talking out their azzes and told me it was my HKS exhaust that gave me the too rich issue even after I told them I had HFCs and a tune. My tuner is out until Jan 2nd, I'll let him decide what I should do...tune around my HFCs or replace them with my OE cats. Maybe BERK'S would pass without a tune but I was running way to lean not to get a tune....

Sebastian did my tune also, switching the tune back to stock won't help you? I have it programmed on my cruise control settings....I'd like to know, or I'll be shooting "KDAY" a PM.....

depending on how long you drove w/a bad sensor you may have burned out that cat. that's how i burnt out my Kinetix, switched to Fast Intentions now. passed SMOG w/Kinetix once, second time found out they where burnt so i switched to FI and passed. even w/all my mods and tune. i don't think it's your tune. if they're good they(the techs) can tell you if the problem is pre-exhaust or not, there's some kind of math equation they do w/the print out.

i took my art pipes off for smog and put them back on right after... i didn't want to play the guessing game...so i'm good for 2 years at least..

I probably didn't drive more than one of two days before discovering the right bank sensor needed replacing...50 miles maximum. I wasn't having fun driving while throwing those error codes. When Sebastian tuned SLICK he would have noticed my HFCs were burnt out...Gary

gary, just have seb swap your oem cats back on. should take them no more than 45 mins.

Update: Got a hold of Sebastian at SpecialtyZ and he advised I just put my factory cats back on which I did. Tomorrow I'll try again to get SLICK past the smog testers. She sure is quiet without the BERK'S on, can't wait to put them back on...

No problem, passed my smog check without issues and reinstalled my Berk's HFCs. Having compared the printouts the test with my Berk's weren't even close. Real world I would have been better off with ART pipes for sound and RWHP gains...not something I need to do soon...Gary
