VW BUS Motor??

Hey guys any of you know where I can go to get or someone who may know about a VW Bus motor? I have a friend of mine who said he is ready to get a motor soon for his old school bus.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.. He did look on the VW Forums and Mags but wants to know if there is something local..
