That's the phone I have right now...

neat stuff, but... be ready to carry a huge block with you..haha

they are also coming out with the US version of S700, name S710A, with differnt bandwidth instead of 900,1900,1800, it has 850, 1900, and 1800, and with Edge, but without the radio function

the phone s700 cost over 600+ if you don't want activation... ebay have it for cheaper or S710 is around 4-500 I think...

good luck searching...

by the way.. S700... hum.. sometimes it freez up... or.. have some bugs... but it is a neat toy to have...

all up to you how you think of it

by the way, as for the $1200 rebate...

beware... sometime you dont get the $ back, or even if you do, that means open 6 line without getting any new phones. So make sure you ask for all the detail before you do anythign

Ok wanna know a little trick to break out of a contract without paying it? Especially if you live in California.

Best thing to do if you are Cingular is go to a booth or store and have your service switched to ATT. (They are the same but different in a way) Now your contract will be cancelled with Cingular and transferred to ATT for free, no contract break penalty since they are the same company. But they start you on a new contract on ATT. Hold on the ATT contract for like 3 days, then return the Phone to the store and cancel the contract. By California law, you have 30 days to cancel your cell phone contract without any penalties! Now you are free again to start a new contract anywhere. Start a new contract and get the phone you want or whatever.... I had my wife do this every year for a new phone for her.

As for me a get a new phone every 6 months b/c of my company. Let's say I get my phones for SUPER cheap, Treo 650 is only 75 bucks but it's under my company's contract. I just trade up when I feel like it.
