2004 R1

I'm contemplating selling my 2000 R1 for this bad boy...
Even though I don't ride street anymore.
What do you guys think?

It's a good bike, but the midrange is weak compared to the other '04 literbikes, all the power is in the last few k's of the rpm range. Would be great if you are tracking it only.

You're absolutely right, midrange is weak on the newer generation R1's.
My bike is a torque monster.

Nevermind, I'm keepin' Ralphie. Thanks for reminding me mrb.

No one these days rides street anymore =/

Keep your bike Dizz. You'd need to drop another 2-3 g's and your insurance premium will probably go higher.

Damnit, why did you have to make a bike thread!!! Now you've got me thinking about my CBR 600 F2 (stolen + not a chance to insure it yet = me f*cked)

you can put PC3 on it to smooth it out.

It will help, most definitely, but that is part of the design, it's still going to be there no matter what you do.
