Los Angeles Trip

One my friends is getting married in Covina on Saturday. I'm flying in early Friday morning and have all day and that night off. As well as Sat night after the wedding. What should I hit up? I'd like to see the Capitol Records building, the Hollywood sign (I know, touristy chit), Sunset blvd in Hollywood, Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills (and the ladies ), anything else you guys suggest that live there? Anything I should make certain NOT to miss? Anyone have time to show me around? I'll be staying pretty close to LAX.
TIAFAR. I've been warned by the groom to stay away from Watts and Compton. Kind of ruins my plan to hit up a swap meet on Crenshaw

Shopping is good where I live (DFW) so that is out. Wouldn't mind seeing some ladies, not at all. Don't really care actually, just something cool to check out that will take up some time. If I had my way, I'd be bringing my suit, helmet, gloves, and boots and get some riding in (PCH) and rail some turns.

The crenshaw swap meets are really where tourists get mugged for thier SHlT...no bargaining, just mugging. You just gotta bring the right "bargaining" tools if you know what I mean, and I dont mean cash...

FOR SURE HIT UP THE BEACH. You want tourist crap go to Santa Monica, you want locals you gotta go to Huntington Beach.

Hit up Malibu, PCH, and if your into the Clubs gotta check out some L.A. clubs.

Tell us wat your looking to do and we can help u out.

Well if you are staying by LAX, I recommend on Friday afternoon you hit Hermosa and Redondo Beach since those are close. Have dinner somewhere down there and hit some of the bars in the evening. For Saturday night, you can roll from your hotel up the 405(I assume you have a car). Exit on Sunset and drive through the winding road from Bel Air into the Sunset strip. Be aware that there will be a TON of traffic on a weekend night after 11pm on Sunset. If you do not care about seeing the strip, take Doheny down to Fountain or Santa Monica and over to Fairfax, then back up to Sunset. Going this way you will also see the Tower Records bldg and all the wierd freaks that hang out in Hollywood. Take Sunset down to the 101 and then cruise back to La Brea on Hollywood Bl.

If you do the above at around midnight or so, it's a pretty sweet ride.

Being memorial day... doesn't hermosa have that big street party. Food, booths, talent etc... I know they do it on Labor day, but I thought there was one on Memorial Day too?
