Got Popped for Speeding Yesterday... 102mph
Hey guys coming back from watching Batman Begins yesterday with a few G owners.. I got pulled over on the 5 going 102mph which im sure I wasn't but whatever. Anyway this is the conversation..
Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: No Sir
Cop: Do you know how fast you were going?
Me: Maybe a little over speed limit sir
Cop: You joking me right, you were going 102mph
Me: Im sorry officer I wasn't aware that I was going that fast
Cop: Are you aware that going over 100mph can lead to you getting your license suspended for 1 month and a $1500.00 fine?
Me: (Scared Sh*tless) No officer I was not
Cop: License and registration please
Me: Here you go sir, and heres my insurance as well
Cop: I'll be right back
~2 minutes pass
Cop: Here you go, take this as your only warning. Have a good day.
Me: uh.. Thanks?!?!
Lesson Learned..

LUCKY! I got pulled over in my Integra back in '02 clocked at 105 mph. Got my license suspended for 30 days and paid a $575 fine. OH and my insurance will be F'ed for the next 7 years. (3.5 years left, ALMOST DONE!)

He got pulled over by Irvine PD on the 5 FWY(ie, out of Irvine PD's jurisdiction).
Now, any on duty, and even off duty peace officer can pull you over if you are breaking the law regardless of jurisdiction, but they usually do not.
But here, Gunit was driving so fast that the Irvine PD guy pulled him over anyway. I am sure the cop knew "mission accomplished" by just pulling him over and therefore getting Gunit to slow down. That combined with an out of jurisdiction stop were why Gunit got let go.
