Is there a worse freeway than the 405?

Are you kidding me? I leave from Malibu to just north San Diego on Friday and it takes almost 4 hours to go 118 miles!!! The kicker is, it doesn't matter what time of day you are on that road, it is bumper to bumper!

I never saw an accident or the clean up from an accident, just tail lights the whole way! Then I would reach 30 mph and back down to a stop...errr

I cannot stand the 405! Anyone else feel this way?

101N to the 405S is bad. 5S at the 60E and 10 split is horrible too. Just don't drive in LA M-F between 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

I'm only 5 miles away from work and it would still take me 1/2 hour if I took the freeway.

Well, the 405 and the 101 freeway intersection is the worst bottle neck in the country. Whenever I leave t he valley to visit my bro in SD traffic is awful, but it does clear up after LAX

My GF got caught in the same traffic on fri, she was driving down from South coast plaza to SD. Took her a little over 4hrs.

Aside from the usual sucky traffic, the Track and Street Scene were to blame.

Man oh man, that 5/60/10 is horrible...there's traffic on that section of road in the early AM a lot of times. I suffer through that stretch of freeway every morning commuting from Glendale to Cypress (30+ miles). Then on the way back home I get to deal with the 5/10/101 which is equally as bad.

Like everyone else said too though, the majority of LA freeways get incredibly congested at some time or other.

I live in Glendale too. But I take the 5N at Colorado, 134W, 101N, 405S to work. Good thing I only have to go in a few days a week.

LA traffic is still a lot better than NY traffic, especially travelling east-west. Riding the "wave" of lights on the avenues can be fun at night though!

405N and 101 now got even worse. They shut down another lane, so 3 lanes become 2 and that causes SO much more traffic. The worlds largest bottleneck, just got larger. oh btw, i live RIGHT there and my dad takes 405S everyday to Huntington beach and BACK!

maaan I take the 110S from my work(10 minz S of downtown LA) to the 405 S and get off @ huntington beach EVERYDAY! there and back omg its a freqan killer. The worse part of the whole thing is that fatigue that kicks in on the drive back home. You get soooo sleepy its rediculous! OMG man I go threw sooo many freqan packs of gum its funny. Anyway, worse than the 405... I would say the 91 E @ around 4-5pm. Thats bad but 110N by downtown is bad also
