Good Restaurants in Los Angeles Area

Oh Definitely, I never said they weren't the Valley. But Ventura Blvd is still very much the hub of all businesses here.
People living in West Hills, Porter Ranch, Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Northridge, still come up to Ventura Blvd for a lot of different reasons. I know a lot of wealthy people living in those areas, but still come to Ventura Blvd for their favorite Tanning Salon, Shoe Store, Kid's Dance Studio, etc...

Y'all had to start talking about food hunh?
Nip-food:
Shabu Hachi, corner of Barrington and Olympic, West Side
Manpuku, Sawtelle area, West Side
Sushi-Roku, Old Town Pas.
I-talian:
C+O Trattoria, Venice
Antica Pizzeria, Marina Del Rey
Quick and decent Korean, open 24-7:
Hodori, K-town, Olympic and Vermont
Steak:
The Buffalo Club, In Santa Monica, but dunno if they are still around, and it might be a members place...
The Palm.
Seafood:
The Fish Co., Venice
Fast food, other than the Socal Norm, I'd recommend trying Sonics in Anaheim. Kinda like In N out, but a lot different. Not on the level with McD or even Carls.
Can't think of other spots off the top of my head. In know some Inida, Chinese, Middle Eastern places, can't think of the names at the moment though.

Gyu-Kaku: Japanese BBQ - you cook the food in front of you. There's 4 locations - Pico in West LA, La Cienega in Beverly Hills, Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks and Crenshaw in Torrance. Very good food.
Chosun Kalbee: Korean BBQ in Koreatown.
Lawry's: Prime rib (very famous restaurant)
Ruth Chris' steakhouse: tasty steaks
I agree with The Palm, Enterprise Fish Co and Koi. Let me think of others...

Perfect!!! I went to a new restaraunt last night in Burbank. Forgot what it was called, it's off San Fernando and Olive or E. Palm or something. It's an all you can eat buffet type thing, but that's only for the mashed potatoes and the salads...
You sit at your table and the servers come around with different kinds of meat (yea, MEAT) and they give you a slice or 2...For example, the dude comes around with prime rib steak, gives everyone a slice, then goes on his way. As you finish eating your prime rib, the dude with the parmesan chicken comes around, gives you a slice, and goes on his way. Then you got the filet, garlic steak, lamb, BBQ chicken, garlic chickin, etc, etc...The atmosphere wasn't ALL THAT, but with a couple of drinks and some good company, it might not be so bad...

Sounds like your talking about Brazilian Churrasqueria. I go to the one in Long Beach called Greenfield, some great stuff and their Xingu beer is freakin good.
They recently opened one in Redondo Beach, I believe it's owned by the same owner as By Brazil in Torrance which is more of a local hangout but this new one is trendy and has a full bar. will have to try it.
