how much do you guys pay for registration???

what's up guys/gals, this is the first year i'm in CA, i just received my renewal notice and it's $254!!!
is this normal? over $200?
when i was living in FL, the renewal is only around $70.
i called dmv and they say mine's cheaper than a lot of people, is this true?

thanks,
benjamin

Yeah dude thats about right. It's really not that bad. Just be glad Arnold took office and removed the previous tripling of car registration fee that the previous screw up gave us! Otherwise you'd be paying $750.

Yea, $254 isn't bad at all. It'll go down as the car gets older. My husband drives a 1999 Discovery and it was about $160 to renew last May.

thanks for the replies everyone, it's ridiculous how much registration is and yet there are so many cars on the road in CA.

next year, i'm getting my car registered in NV, i got brother that lives in vegas.

$254 sounds about right. A girl I dated had a 3 series beamer and her reg. was around $700 at one time. Crazy.
