Unhappy Please help...16 year old...Got ticket for 94mph in a 65.

I was about to miss my off ramp so I sped up to pass someone going 85 or so and the cop radared me at 94. I am 16 and this is my first ticket. Can someone tell me what is going to happen and what the fine is going to be? I have to be in court on 7/15/06. Any advice is really appreciated.

Contact your local ticket clinic and get them to adjudicate or mitigate the original offense down to something that won't cause your insurance rates to skyrocket. And...........slow down!

If you go to traffic school, your insurance will not go up.

Buy a radar detector.

why do you worry about insurance? i'm sure your parents will pay for it, like they did your car.
seriously though, if you show up to court and the officer who ticketed you doesn't you automatically win

most people don't know this but u can fight your ticket through "written declaration" the way it works is if u write a declaration and say i'm not guilty, and the cop doesn't write anything, case closed and u get your money back. just hope the cop doesn't write his own written declaration.

The chances of the cop no showing is slim at best, the courts usually schedule a few cases together so all the cop does is show up for an hour, and everyone who chose to dispute the tickets are usually SOL, unless they have a very clean driving record for a long period of time the best you can do is have the fine or ticket reduced ....depending on the judge....they usually side with the cop

From what I understand, you can petition a not guilty and arrange a court date. When you show up, if the cop isn't there you win. If the cop shows up, the judge gives sometimes gives you a chance to plead guilty with no points but a higher fine. Thats what my friends did before and thats the route I would most likely go with. Maybe someone can chime in on this one.

In TX, at least if you're 25 mph above the speedlimit, you can't do driving school to get rid of the ticket.

Live and learn and dont speed, If you really need to make a offramp that bad it you better be pregnant or somthing. Seriously Hit your signal lights early pay attention if you miss it better safe than sorry.

Always easy to point fingers at others before you point fingers at yourself.
Good advice but he wasnt racing violently on the freeway or I would totally agree with you...
