We've got some cool new license plate options
When my registration comes around in April I'm gonna go ahead and get some new "vanity" plates. There's a new DMV website with some cool backgrounds then the option to make the plate read what you want
www.myplates.com
As a Longhorn myself, I'm considering this one which is available in some other colors too:
I think this one's a bit tacky:
But I do kind of like this old-school style:
Anyone good with photoshop wanna do a quick chop on any of those to show me what they'd look like on the car?
this is a response to a recent post on the 07+ sedan section

Nah, they're not really new. I've had mine for almost 2 years now. MyPlates (corp) went bankrupt for a short while and is now back under government control. My plate was only one of about 1200 released that year --- the design is available in this round, but they don't seem to offer the same amount of characters on it.
AJ, what i did back then was just print a sample and actually placed it on the car. Worth a shot.

The character options are either AAA### AA### ##AAA ###AAA for $33/year or you have any choice of letters and numbers for $60/year (IIRC)
Good plan, i'll try that.

Depending on your preferred character combo, you may be able to get away with the Custom series.
Btw, for those not in the know, as with any custom plates, these prices are on top of your regular yearly registration fees and you can get them at any time. It's not tied to when your existing registration expires.

oh wow thanks for that chop, i still kind of like the orange star plate
And just as I posted this thread never having seen them in real life I did yesterday back up here around UT. There's a new white Tahoe parked at one of the apartment buildings with a pink Chevy bowtie, pink longhorn emblem, and the pink star license plate haha - i'll try and snap a picture
