Windshield Repair Shops in Houston?

I just got this quarter-sized rock chip on my windshield but I can't help but to stare at this crack because it's in the middle of the glass and it casts a shadow on my dash. Not to mention that it's right in my freakin face!

Does anyone know of a reputable auto glass shop in Houston that can do a really good job of replacing a windshield at a decent price? And how much does a windshield replacement run for before an insurance deductible?

Has anyone gotten theirs replaced yet? I want a glass similar to the Infiniti one because I want it to have that black square thing where the rearview mirror attaches.

HELP!

Hey Neener! I would go to safelite auto glass. They're very reputable and they even come to you. Send me a pic of the chip. Sometimes i've seen them able to repair the chip to almost nothing. If not they can replace it for a new windshield. Do you remember mine was chipped not too long ago as well.

Thanks for all the input everyone, I ended up getting it repaired by All Safe Glass for $50, they came to my house and it turned out pretty nice. I still see slivers from where the star crack went in different directions but it's better than before, and the hole that was drilled to inject the resin is visible but I guess I just have to pretend it's a speck of dust for the rest of my life...

My dad got his entire windshield replaced on his car for $140 but I'm not pleased with the job done on it. After taking out the broken windshield and replacing it with a new one, they didn't seal it back well enough and the plastic/rubber part near the wipers is kind of bent and buckles up; you can see the bottom of the glass. By the time my dad showed it to me they had already left. Dad doesn't seem to care much about his car anyways so I'm not gonna worry about it either. Other than that I'm satisfied with what was done on my car.

I think the Windshield Quality is Just bad.

Guys,
I have never had problems with windshields in any of my prior cars, but i think alot of people have gotten winshield chips on the G. I recently got one. I went to Infiniti and they said they dont do the work. The Windshield people dont work on times other than work hours.

I wouldn't say the quality is bad it's more or less just luck. Speed x mass of object will result in a chip, crack, or worse. I don't know of any auto glass that is chip free. Besides prior to getting a chip in my windshield it had been several years (6yrs to be exact). I was driving on the beltway one day(which i did daily) and out of the blue a rock flew up and nailed me.

Call safelite they can go to your work or home. And since it's a chip your insurance should cover it for free (no deductible paid) as it is a repair.
