SA/Austin: Good Suspension Shop?

I live right outside of San Antonio and was looking for a shop that is maybe familiar with G/Z and coilovers. Anyone know of one they could point me to? The help would be greatly appreciated

Are you trying to buy some coilovers or have them installed?

Install. Just purchased it today. Should be getting it all in within a week/week-in-a-half. Also purchased new rotors, pads, and brake lines so I will be looking to have that done as well.

just pm skyline_gt, if he's willing to install these items (for a good price). He's pretty good with bleeding the brakes, pedal wise. Soulspeed has $349 install on coilovers installation and installation of one set of disk brakes $74 plus $89 to bleed the brake lines.

If you want a place to take your car too and someone experienced with installs like this, R&N Garage is a sponsor for ZSPORT and is cheap for installs like this. You might want to give him a call and talk to Rob. He is off Thousand Oaks.

You know if they do alignments there? I am planning on swinging by there after work today to see what they say. I had been trying to get ahold of soulspeed for two weeks now to get it scheduled in but have not had any luck.

Soulspeed has a very nice alignment rack and can corner balance your coilovers but they are very busy. Whomever you go to, make sure they have the right tools to do the job.

With a height adjustable suspension, corner balancing is a must. I tell my customers that if they can't tell the difference before and after a corner balance that I will refund the cost of the service.

While installing coilovers is easy, I can't tell you how many times I've fixed installs that appear ok at a glance. Even if your ride height looks even or level, there is alot more to it than that. Why buy nice adjustable suspension components without having them setup properly?

I would not suggest Soul Speed, I took my car there once for a simple fender roll and rim mounting and they screwed it all up. My tires were already mounted to the rims, all they had to do was roll the rear fenders and mount the rims/tires. They were brand new rims and brand new tires. They scratched up the paint on 2 of my rims and the fender roll was **** poor and looked like they did it with a curling iron. I had one rear tire rubbing and one that did not...very bad quality.

They repainted my rims but you can still tell they are scratched up, then they said the fenders were as good as it would get, but they would try to fix the problem. I did not feel confident in their abilities to fix the problem so I'm going somewhere else.

Seems to me like they have 2 guys who do their work, one does good work and the other does a half a$$ job. So make sure if you go there you ask for the non-half a$$ special.

As far as the alignments go I would suggest you use Jerry's Alignment shop in Pflugerville, he does awesome work on lowered cars with up to 20" rims. We've had several members from CentexVQ take their cars there and so far not a single complaint. We even made him our sponsor because of the good work he performs. Tell him MT from CentexVQ sent you.

Like he said, my fenders got rolled by Soul Speed. Mine came out really nice.
Forgot the big guys name that did mine. He's the one that does Good Work Fender Roll wise.
