It's because the meets in Killeen are really unorganized and just generally shitty. I used to have a Jeep and I'd go to the Jeep meets at Pluckers for a few reasons..
1. They were well organized. Pluckers knew we were coming and made room for us.
2. There was a large group that went, not just one or two people.
3. They had sponsors: radio and the local Jeep dealer came and gave away free stuff like tshirts and oil changes.
The meets in whatever parking lot they have them in now are held too often: No one has time to go to a car meet every week so since they're held too often the turn out sucks. Plus they're in a parking lot....
I would be down for a meet that was actually organized and at an actual place other than an empty parking lot.. I'd be willing to help with this but I'm PCSing to WA in 3 months...

^^ I kinda bitched out the guy who "claimed" to be someone who set up the Killeen meet on Racecentex (don't know if he was or not, but sets up those cruises to the lake or whatever too). Told him I would not attend another meet after they were kicked out of Dick's and would encourage others not to as well. I thought it was planned and OK for us to be there. They did not police the meet, no organization, let idiots come and go and do stupid things around the cars. I'm glad it was shut down and will only attend more thought out Austin meets.
Not that my **** is anything special, it's 8 years old and slammed on wheels, but out of maybe the 80 cars there, 5 were impressive (excluding the G's, which all the one's I saw were nice)... the rest were body kitted, neons, stupid fitting parts, and had several very stupid conversations with people there who claimed they knew a **** ton about cars.
