replacing 03 coupe engine with a 04 engine, HELP!!!

I did the most stupid thing ever and did not remove the old gasket from old oil filter and placed new filter over it when changing the oil. My wife drove my car afterwards, all oil leaked out and now I am having to replace my 03 coupe engine. I bought a 04 engine with 40k miles. Turns out that my engine was one of the first production engines. The 04 engine, although the same has 4 more camshaft sensors (2 on each camshaft). MY question is... if I install and leave those 4 not connected... what will happen??? My wiring harness does not have the wiring for the 4Xtra sensors. If I buy a new harness how do I match it to a new computer??? I need lots of advise, please help.

I found out that the 03,04,05,06 Coupes with automatic transmissions are all identical and if need be, u could replace those engines with no problem.,I also found out in 05 and 06, the 4door G35's have a REV-UP ENGINE that is mated to the 6 spd transmission and those will not fit if attempting to place in the 03 or 04, but the 03 and 04 manual transmissions are interchangeable in the 03 and 04 with automaic tranmission coupes. does that make any sense.

I just finished the engine replacement, I got a the engine from a 04 coupe with a automatic transmission and it fit perfect. that is the whole thing, if you have a automatic, get a engine from a automatic vehicle, if yours is a standard get a engine from a standard and you wont have any problems, don't try and put a engine from a automatic to a manual and visaversa, it won't work if you get the wrong year. I found out the hard way.

the rev-up engine is basically the same as the "regular 3.5" because it is also a 3.5Ltr engine. The 4 extra sensors are on the camshaft (2 infront, 2 on back side), they control with more precision the camshaft therefor creating more horsepower, the only thing is that the 3.5Ltr (rev-up engine) with this configuration is mated up for the manual transmision and because of the more precisise control of engine the wireing harness on the automatic will not fit on that engine because it was not made for the extra precision and therefor the computer on the automatic will not work with the manual, does this make sense???
