Texas Direct Auto

Any of you Houston guys have experience with this place. They're the super high volume ebay dealer but I can't seem to figure them out. The ebay feedback is exceptional (99.9%), but the google reviews are 50/50. They BBB slammed them pretty hard too. Seems kinda shady. Any insight would be helpful as I'm seriously considering something they're selling.

My buddy bought an expedition from them and another friend bought a 335I -- very low price as compared to others, but be wary of maintenance that may be required etc. as both had to have some stuff done shortly after purchasing...

Also, they get some of their cars off rental fleets. Just do your homework prior to purchasing and you should be fine

They are located on the way to sugar land i think they say it in Stafford ive been there once they have a crap load of cars and are kinda like a carmax. The Car i looked at was a 2010 E63 it was 72,000 which was a steal compared to Momentum that had a similar one that was 78,000, we checked out both that day because the one at Texas auto felt loose and not taken care of, it looked immaculate online but in person it just didn't have the clean car look, it actually also had a lug nut missing as well. All in all this car didn't seem like it should for a car with 3,500 miles. The one at momentum had 6,800 miles but felt tighter and looked showroom sexy. Then later i ended up calling a friend up and asking about it and he said yeah TDA had a bad rep amongst other dealerships mainly due to the good pricing of their cars, he also mentioned to make sure i have the car checked over because its a hit or miss with what they sell.

Just check everything out, I looked at a g there and while driving I notice the rotors were warped, battery cover was missing, and the seat belt holders were gone too (06 g35). Other than that, the price was fair

Thanks for the feedback. I've been reading a lot of similar things about them. The place seems a little too sketch for a long distance purchase so I think I'll pass. Thanks though

Looked at a car there as well. Didn't really know what to think.

I know this thread is a little old but I thought that I would give my feedback. I just purchased an 06 g35 coupe from there last night, and it took awhile. I got there around 345pm, and didn't leave until 820pm. You have to put a 500 deposit on Ebay for the car, then drive down there to finish up. It took nearly an hour for me to get someone to bring me the car. I put the deposit down on Monday morning and they gave me a Thursday afternoon appoinment. So you would think that the car would be ready, but it was filthy and running almost out of gas. You have to check in when you get there, and they give you a pager like you would get in a restaurant. I am satisfied with the car, cause I have been wanting a G35 for awhile now. Just traded my 98 Maxima in that had 253,000 on it.

Hope this helps some

I actually just found one on craigslist, and my transaction was great. I won't be dealing with these people.
