Unhappy Fuel Filler Hose Recall

I did a search and did not find this.

Anyone else get a recall on some 2003-2006 Infiniti vehicles?

The fuel filler hose may creack and result in a fuel leakage from the hose while refueling.

It's for the 2003-2004 models only and only within a specific vin range.

recall

I received my notice today. I have an 03.5 but the document says it relates to some 2003-2006 model year Infiniti vehicles. It says it takes approximately 3 hours to complete but the dealer may need the vehicle for a longer period of time based upon their work schedule.

Took my 2005 6mt sedan in for the filler neck problem and it has been less than a week and went to put gas in for the first time since service and it is still doing it so I'll make another appt and take it back in. What kind of problems would I have to have to return the car under the lemon law and how many times does it have to happen??

I had to take my car in a 2nd time for that problem too. After the 2nd time, the problem never occurred again so take heart. It could be they attempt one fix, then a different one the second time. Good luck.

This issue is not related to the recall.

I was unaware of the hose recall till I took my 04 sdn in for squeaky brakes and window rattle. The fuel hose ITB06-00-R0508 fix requires major rear suspension removal. I asked if it had anything to do w/ the just required E10 fuel that we have in Hawaii. They claim not.
