Oil consumption may be borderline according to the TSB and I'm just doing it for peace of mind and to bust Infiniti's chops before my warranty is gone lol. Good luck dude.
Ya I hear ya, good luck to you as well!

The oil is not the main reason, its a list of reasons haha. Stuff like previous owner covered up an accident and I have subframe damage. Im still undecided as to what I will do.

oh...get rid of that asap...sometimes an accident doesn't hit the carfax report for like a year...if it suddenly shows up you are screwed

i rear ended someone with my se-r, very minimal damage(license plate got pushed into the bumper and fell off) but the guy wanted to report it so it was an official accident with a repaired bumper at a shop through my insurance and I checked the car fax a few times and it hadn't showed up yet when I got rid of the car. Although if you have sub-frame damage it probably wasn't officially reported because I would think it would be totaled..either way I would find a different G35 or other car if you like..lol

get an 07 sedan with the HR, probably worth like the same as your car..or an 07-08 350z

Ya it sucks. It was a leased car so the kid or the dealer obviously hid it. So I have a lawsuit out right now and I am waiting for that first. I still owe like $13,700 on the car so if I traded it in I would get like 5 or 6 grand if I was lucky. I cant get much with that haha. Ive lost so much with this car already. Gonna sound like a noob but what is HR?

all 2nd gen(v36) G35s have vq35hr's (g37s have vq37hr's) all 2007+ 350z's also have HR's. the HR 350z is actually almost as fast as the 370z

Ok, so I think my 2006 rev-up is burning thru oil.
I took it in to the dearlership and the advisor there said, we can do the OC test, BUT if I fail, they will only replace the engine, if I can produce the last 3 receipts of my oil changes. WTF! Is that true???
I dont have those dang receipts.

thats bull, you are allowed to change your own oil, doesn't effect your warranty

unless you paid for them in cash why don't you just get your credit card statement?

or if you had it done at a shop just ask them for the record

They're full of sh;t! Print out the TSB, show it to them and ask where it says you need receipts

I got my new engine last week cuz my old one failed the oc test and the dealer should pay for the oil change if ur under warranty. P.s when u take it to the dealer let them know that once in a while u hear a knocking noise in the engine that way u get the whole long block cuz if not the only replace the short block..........my service writer was nice enough to tell me that and she got me the longblock
