Question TSB repair done free of charge??

I have the rear axle click on my 03 G35 and I am bringing it to the dealer next week. I wasn't sure if TSB repairs were covered by Infiniti or if you had to pay for the repair. I appreciate the help.

If you are still under warranty they will fix it for free, if not then you would have to pay. If you are out of warranty there is a DIY on here telling how to do it, from reading the DIY it sounds pretty easy as long as you are mechanically inclined.

its not. but i think its only a bolt that needs to be replaced. also, you can purchase the elite plan and have it covered

Pull off the rear wheels, remove the pin and nut in the center of the hub. Take a punch and knock the axle out about half way. Lube the splines with pbc grease or lithium etc. and reassemble. That works everytime for me.

Should you not mark the end of the drive shaft and also the hub?

I would just to be safe

Mine was free of charge when I was still under warranty. Don't go to the dealership, search on here for the DIY, if you have the tools it shouldn't be that hard.

i just did mine today, just took off the 32mm nut on the hub and pushed the axle back... u can reach the splines of the axle from behind the hub... just used a s*it load of moly grease and tightened the nut back on... no need to remove the axle

Go back and get your refund. If under the bumper to bumper period still, it's free as is everything else that goes wrong with your car.
