I actually noticed this when I was taking apart my car, it seems to stay on put it would go out afterwards, a good 10 mins.

I asked the dealer one time he said they know and there is no fix. Nice to find out they lied reading that tech report.

Yes the light comes on when the headlight is turned on.
No, it is not on all the time, unless you drive with your headlights on all the time.
Yes there is a TSB. All the dealership does is shim the latch to make the glove box close a little tighter. It's an easy TSB. Do it yourself and be proud!

Print it out and take it in with you. No arguments/confusion.

found the tsb mailed it to my service advisor and no more light peaking thru the gap. And they told me that there is nothing that can be done.

there is absolutely no need for you guys to take your cars to the dealerships unless you REALLY do not feel comfortable working on your own car. all it takes is either tightening of the screws to tighten things up or putting a thin piece of foam tape (like i did myself) to "hide" the light.

I had the dealer do mine since there is a TSB on it and I had them do a few other things as well. Haven't really notice the light any more so I guess it is probably fixed. It wasn't that bad to begin with but had it done since I was there.

The light is always on in your refrigerator, too (you just think that the pressure switch works, but it only works when the door is open) - LOL!
