UTEC for certain.

the utec will allow you to make changes to your setup. If you go the reflash route, any changes you make (and you will!!! no one leaves an FI kit alone. ) will throw off the tune.

I think the guys already answered your question, but with a Utec you or a tuner can actually tune the car, with a reflash your "tune" can't be altered unless you send it back for another reflash and some $$ whenever you add some more things to the car.... Get the utec, or some ems at least. Doesn't all TT kits come with some sort of ems?

with the UTEC, you will need the MAP sensor if you are going forced induction.

the map switch is optional, but nice.

also, the tuner wibeband is not necessary, unless you are a tweaker.

I would do the TS reflash for the 100% open throttle, 7100 rev limit, speed limiter removal, and have them get the F/A ratio in the ballpark based on a dyno run. Then add the piggyback UTEC to really tweak it.

i've already done the TS reflash for 8-9 psi. now i'm changing the exhaust from a single to dual (3 inch) ehxaust to a svrtech true dual with an X pipe ehxaust. i'm looking more in to this utec. where the best place to get and to go get it tuned? i live in 93263 zip.

Oh, I didn't see anywhere that you had already reflashed. Anyway, you can buy the UTEC here http://www.turboxs.com/shop_prod.php?what_category=3

I'm sure if you search, you could find it for less, but that site is home for the product and if you call they can direct you to a tuning center. Good luck.

A reflash is a very nice way to easily get your car in the ball park for the mods you have. However, nothing can replace tuning to your specific application. You almost always end up with better #s all around. HP, Tq, 1/4 Mile, MPG, etc... Just make sure the tuning is done by someone who knows the engine and the software.
