Just got an UpRev Cipher need some help

I have a couple of questions, and i would appreciate any help:

1. In what gear/s should i be doing a test run in?

2. Which parameters should i be monitoring?

3. How can i convert the graphs to be used with other programs such as excel?

You can do test runs in any gear, it really depends on what you are trying to monitor.

For my runs I typically do fourth gear, 30-110mph or so.

The paramiters to monitor depend on what you want to see. Typically A/F is the most important parameter.

You can save logs as .csv files if I remember right. Then, you can open them in Excel to make graphs.

I did a few runs, one in 1st, one in 2nd and one in 3rd.
i monitored:
A/F CORR-B1
A/F CoRR-B2
ACCEL PED PoS 1
acel ped pos 2
ign timing
IGN TIMING
INJ PULSE
INTAKE AIR TEMP
INTAKE CAM TIM
INTK CAM TIM
INTK CAM SOL
MAF A/F NB-02 SEN
THROTTLE POS

do you know what the difference between MAS A/F and A/F CORR?

which i should be looking at?

Could a timming advance possibly give me more power?

timing advance can give more power. only way to know for sure is time it.

get the A/F ratio by setting up your widebands to display true ratios and not voltages. you do this by entering the ECU # that is displayed when you first connect to vehicle into the options menu then under wideband settings.

Im not exactly sure. I think you can edit the fuel map and timming with the Cipher and i was wondering if anyone has done so and seen any gains. If so maybe they could email it me.

At this time, I think the Cipher is limited to it's tuning. But I hear they are trying to develope ecu flashing abilities. ie.. aam TS type control.

Right now, you can only basicly monitor and perform some Consult type changes (read limited to minor changes and diagnostic on/off type stuff)

As of right now, I think the only performance type thing you can do is advance the timing about 2 deg. Or retard it about 2 deg.

You should hop on their site and read what it can do/cannot do
