AAM ecu reflash done (dyno chart & pics inside)

alright fellas, just had the car dynoed yesterday and here are the results. To me the numbers seem low. I never got a baseline so I dont have anything to go off of. The chart reflects my car before & after the AAM ecu-reflash.
I was hoping the flash would better help tie-up my mods but not to the tune of 2-3 hp. any ideas?

Hi Ralph0064--

See my post 'Dyno after Technosquare re-flash' for a result I had that just about mirror's your recent dyno run. You had much better torque results, but considering the mods almost the same but me an AT, the results and chart are similar, and yes, disappointing.

looks like you lost some area under your torque curve, in the useable area nonetheless. but you did gain some up top? very disappointing.

I had mine flashed last week to and wasn't impressed . It was a little gain . I have almost exactly the same set up as Ralph . Do you think your 20's hurt you at all on the dyno ?

^ there actually 19's. Im sure they're holding me back somewhat. I have no clue as to why they only took it up to 6500rpm. Nismoto dyno sheet is the same.

Im planning on having the car dynoed again in 2 weeks. Mike Mahaffey from AAM told me the car will see better numbers once I drive for a while. Lets just hope that holds true.

I just dont get it....

You seem to drop to ~12.0:1 A/F. I'm not sure what these cars run, but my Grand Prix (heavily modified) has to run as low as 12.3:1 to prevent engine knock. That is supercharged, thus why it is so rich. I'd assume our G35's being N/A can probably go as lean at at least 13.0:1 before knocking. Probably higher.

14.7:1 is great, the target A/F. Dropping from there is giving up horsepower by running rich to avoid predetonation.

NA u should be around 12-7- 13.0 at 6000+ rpms. and depending on the timing, u could be giving up a bunch. I'd ask for a retune with a leaner AFR and find out what the timing is. You should be at 28-30 degree timing by redline at least.

but this is exactly why i tell people UTECs or reflashes on NA cars are a waste of money. That was prolly a 500$ tune for essentially nothing.

Considering the NA mods you have on your revup, those "gains" are very disappointing. It seems to me that the AFR is not optimal. And who know what they did with timing.
