another tune by uprev

Overall i am happy with the results. Here is the sheet that explains before and after results. I am very glad they almost got rid of the hp decrease from 6000rpm to 6500.

BTW the tune was done by church automotive (Shawn).

ya the rev limiter is set to 7k, the most impressive part is the tq curve. Car loves to be at high rpms now.

stock limiter is about 6500 on a stock 04. I was not going to bump the limiter but the cars power does not decrease that much after 6500 so i was okay for it being at 7k.

I'm guessing you are now keeping the car Vlad. May you share your driving impressions after the tune? Numbers & power curve looks much better now!

Now you need to join us to Cal Speedway again in November

Initially it was okay, but after driving the car the whole day today i took it all the way up to 7400 on the tach and shift through gears the acceleration is much better. Every time i shift i end up at higher rpm for the next gear and surprisingly overall power delivery is much much smoother throughout the rpm band.
The real test is going to be california speedway though as u mentioned. If i brake into 13s there and i am very confident i will be able to, I will be a happy guy for another year (then cats ). So far my best time was 14.3 at 98 with crappy 2.2 60ft time without the tune.

Cali speedway sounds soooo tempting right now but i know after the track i gotta stop by Street Image for the JWT clutch.

congrats on the tune Vlad!! How long did it take shawn to tune your car?

Did you get a race gas map?

I think you might get a little more hp and tq if you get a race gas map for racing. Remember the difference from shawn's 91oct and race gas map during his demo. I think he pulled 270ish on 91 and 280ish on race gas.

Sorry I can't remember the exact numbers.

No i did not do the race gas map. I dont think i will need it because i never fill up 100octane. It took him about an hour from start to finish. The time consuming part was getting the cam angles at each rpm. Thats how i got my nice tq curve.

It is . On a conventional dyno (dynojet) it is about 260 rwhp. My car was always strong a lot of people had doubts about it and were saying there is no way this is a non-revup engine or the dyno must have crapped out. But here it is another proof that it is strong car and they just made it stronger.
No BS brake in period. Rip a new a$$ hole from day one and change the oil early and this is what u get. A car that makes power and burns 0 amount of oil after 50k.

haha, i hear ya man. I've never let off my car from day one, switched out to full synthetic after 2k miles and it's never lost a lick of oil after 43k! Drive it like its supposed to be driven!
