Disturbing dyno

Well I got my car dyno'd today immediately after getting my MREV2 installed and the results sucked.

220.1

This is with the Motordyne 5/16" Iso Thermal Spacer, Injen CAI, and MREV2 installed.

Isn't this really low? Even for a bone stock engine this sounds low.

This is a 2006 Rev-up 6MT coupe with 11,000 miles on it.

Great! We have the exact car, and I was hoping for 300hp to the wheels with bolt-ons. That dream is now crushed, silly me for being optimistic!

Yeah very low for a Dynojet. I'd expect that out of one of the above mentioned dynos but not a dynojet. Do you have the sheet with A/F?

Thank you! So that I understand it is quite common to get totally different numbers depending on the machine you use?

I dynoed my '06 6MT coupe about a year ago on a Dynojet with similar mods (Stillen intake, HKS exhaust, and MREV+) and put down about 251 or 252. Your number sounds really low.

if u want suggestion, find a shop by posting in ur local area and see who tunes the cars in ur area. That would be the best suggestion.

Yes, unless there were other Gs putting down 240-250 hp on the same day then the numbers are meaningless. Try 1/4 mile track and compare those times to people that run at that particular track. If ur 60ft is decent and u can chirp the tires till 3rd gear then it would be comparable to other people with G35 at that same track.

Thanks again! I have now lost faith in the dyno system :-)
