MAF quick fix

My 2004 G was having issues issues that started 2 weeks ago. After installing the second Vortech S/C,because the first one had a bearing problem. I noticed a little bog around 4500 rpm. That was the start of the problem. The car went into fail safe mode, and after a OBD reading that said I had a lean bank 1 issue. I took it to the dealer, and they wanted to install a A/F sensor, but that they were not sure if that was the problem. $450.00 and wouldn't warranty it because of the modifications (S/C). I refused the work and drove it home, and then got another SES light. This time the car really started to bog, and when I got home read the code as a cylinder misfire, the VDC light and the Slip light came on, the tach went to zero, and after shutting the car down, it wouldn't restart until the 3rd attempt. I decided to eliminate a few possible causes, and started with the MAF, after I noticed a little oil discharge on my BOV, possibly caused by the faulty bearing problem on the first S/C, which probably leaked oil into my piping. When I sprayed the MAF down, I noticed the slight discoloration in the solvent...OIL! After I reinstalled the MAF and started the car, it was unbelievable! Incredible throttle response, smooth pull to 6000 rpm,no codes, and the car has not run this strong in 6 months.I have since cleaned all the duct piping, and found plenty of oil that caused the problem.$6.00 can of MAF cleaner...what a relief
