Smile 2005 G35c 6MT dyno #'s (popcharger & ztube)

A friend of mine hosted a dyno day/car meet today and we brought in a mobile Dynojet. My car is all stock aside from a popcharger & ztube. I had heard people claim a stockish Revup 6MT would only put down between 225-240whp, with 240 being quite a stretch. To me this sounded ridiculous considering they are rated at almost 300hp stock, and I thought it should dyno higher. To my relief, I put down 245whp/219wtq.

I will post up the chart in the next day or so when I get a chance.

Update - the dyno that was there usually does their printouts in SAE, but they had it on standard for some reason earlier in the day until they noticed it and set it back. I noticed it once I got home and looked at the files. So correction, it was 245whp/219wtq SAE.

Very nice numbers. Add a spacer, exhaust and hfc's or test pipes and you should see some more nice numbers.

That means nothing. Comparing two dyno charts from two different cars from two different locations from two different days (you get the point) serves no purpose.

Yeah but you are a 5AT. You have to factor in an additional approx. 10% drivetrain loss when you are 5AT over a 6MT. So these numbers are about right.

compare trap speeds, not dyno #s; different types of machines can show + or - 30 whp!

From the image, it looks like the operator does not know how to attach the tach signal on a VQ.

My stock car put down 268HP & 245 TQ. Does this mean my car is more powerful? Nope. Just two different kinds of dyno's. Each which have their own unique calibration.
