Thanks man.

On that run, it was a 1.895. Here's the thread about that day:

Were you powershifting at all? And do you have a short shifter? Those two things could pull some time off.. Jeremy at Performance Factory says that he always powershifts when at the track.. I dont powershift 1st-2nd because it is easy to miss with my rogue ssk and it is rough sometimes. I'm going to the track tonight if it doesnt rain, but I don't think I will be getting close to your times especially without DR's and the 90 deg. weather.

Sometimes I powershift and sometimes I don't; depends on the day and if my tranny is cooperating. And 1>2 is a problem for my car; I usually make that shift at 5k.

Good luck, and be sure to post your time in the drag section.

interesting........ Redlining the 1st gear at 7100rpm lands at 4400 rpm in 2nd gear. I can't imagine car accelerating faster when shifting @ 5k.... THat is very wierd.

Looks like it is going to rain today, so I might just wait until I get the UTEC installed to head out to the track.

Yeah, shifting so early in 1st is definitely costing me time in second. I don't do it because I want to

Seriously. If I shift at redline(in 1st), then I have problems. I miss more shifts than I make. Of the shifts that work, they usually grind, and it takes for-ev-er to get it into gear. So I figured that a quicker shift earlier would be faster(in the ET) than a longer shift later.

I know what you are saying.. It is easy to miss 2nd for some reason when I take it to redline. But sometimes I manage to slam it into 2nd gear, but then I get extra wheelspin too. So I dunno I am going to try both methods next week when I go to the track.

262.44 (.15) = 302.1 Hp

You gained 4 crank Hp with all your mods.
You're literally joking right? What kind of deductive reasoning is that? Please promise not to post anything without thinking it through!

To OP, thanks for posting and it helps with my next decision.

Just to confirm what OP has put down, my 2005 6mt coupe put down 240 for baseline and only 11 more after intake, exhaust, and lightened flywheel. If I go with headers and spacer, I hope for more than another 10, but that may just be my reality when I get there....
