OK, here are the basics....
2005 Infiniti G35 6MT Sedan (Rev-up)
Vortech V3 Tuner Kit
600CC Deatchwerks Injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
AAM Basic Fuel Return System (Modified to fit the Sedan)
Osiris Pro-Tune performed by EIP Racing in San Jose, CA
About once a week, I get a SEL code P0300 Random Misfire code.
I am able to clear the code with the Cypher, but about a week later, the SEL comes back, same code. It doesn't come on after a hard run, but when I'm sitting in traffic, or at a light.
I did drive the car about 10 miles to EIP before the tune, with the 600CC injectors & Walbro. Could I have fouled out the spark plugs? They are the original plugs. Should I try replacing them with new Denso Iridiums?
Does anyone have any other ideas as to what could be causing the SEL?
Thanks,
Ian

im thinking spark plugs could be your problem as well. i am gona get a tune as well, and people have told me that it is a very good idea if you change your spark plugs before the tune

Ya its burning the blow by oil, and I haven installed a catch can yet. It only does it if I rev it with no load. If I am on it I have the black smoke mod.

Thanks for all of the input. It ended up being a fuel problem. The AAM fuel return system I have is for the coupe, and had to modify it to fit the Sedan. (Since they don't make one) Basically I am only using 1/2 of the gas tank due to the swirl jet not being reinstalled properly. When I hit 1/2 tank, I'm out of gas. The SEL was basically from the sputtering from not getting enough fuel. For now I have to fill the tank every 100 miles or so, until I can get the fuel tank issues worked out. No SEL's since I figured out the issue.
Thanks again,
Ian
