OP said he got it dyno and tuned, so i'm not sure if resetting ECU would have any impact. OP, what did you get it tuned on? Your A/F seem a lil too rich for a tuned car. Most tends to flatline at 13.0 after a tune, IIRC. You powerband seems to hit a wall at 6k. Keep in mind that the DD normally reads lower than most dynojet/dynopak numbers that most people are bragging about. i'm sure others can chime in, but definitely find out what "tune" you received.

The tune was Oriris and it was done by EngineLogics on a DD. I was just expecting a little more power. Does having it tuned with the VDC on matter?

ratm68, should I take my car back to the tuner and ask him to change the AFR to something more around 13?

I'm not a tuner, so don't rely on my comment for tuning purposes. It's just that from my reading and observation of most N/A tune, the tuned powerband tends to be a linear climb while the target A/F tends to be around 13.0 across the board . With that said, i'd just simply question your tuner a lil more to get an idea of what was "tuned". Assuming that he has experience with Orisis and the VQ platform, he should be able to inteligently explain what was tuned and whether your numbers are consistent with others tuned on his dyno.

Was it a custom tune? or did he just load up a preloaded map and re-dyno?

I just sent him an email asking what was adjusted exactly. It was a custom tune as well.

? are you implying that EngineLogic uses a tune of another shop? i'm not sure the relevancy of slowmotionmotorsports unless you're using their dyno map as a reference for the OP's comparison.

Those gains are about right for your mods. I just had an Uprev dyno tune done,on my 04.5 coupe, this past Friday on a Mustang dyno, that thing is a freakin' heartbreaker. Other people around here are getting similar #s to yours.

In Oct.'08 I did some pulls on the same dyno as tuning Fri. The best pull was 198whp/178wtq. At that time the car had a Stillen airbox/filter/ztube,GordG 10 wire,MD 5/16,FI non-res and the timing bumped 2*. Between those pulls and tuning Fri. I had added an UR underdrive crank and Exotic Speed R1-T full catback. Unfortunately no pulls with those added for a more comparable baseline.

With the base Uprev performance flash I got 193whp/203wtq...5whp lossbut a healthy 25wtq. After tweaking the final #s were 204whp/214wtq.

To be honest I was expecting more whp but the HUGE wtq gains make up for that...sort of. The bigger #s for this tune are with headers/built engine/fi. I need to do some pulls on a dyno that'll give bigger #s,I'll feel alot better.

All in all I'm happy. I'm driving mostly on the economy tune and liking that,my car was turning into a pig at the pumps. I was also getting cat codes all the time from the FI non-res pipes so those codes were turned off.

this makes me not want to get the plenum spacer and mrev2 for my revup 06. Honestly it isnt even worth the 600 for 10 hp....

I already ordered the stillen z-tube and airbox so whatever it'll be nice to have the engine sound meaner but maybe i should just go for rims and say screw it.

Sorry, forgot to reply about this in my earlier post. It doesn't matter, the VDC is mostly for traction control when on and quicker shifts when off. It's best to have VDC on when doing a dyno pull/tune,you don't want the wheels slipping while on a dyno.

Test pipes would have helped. When I talked to my tuner, he said test pipes play a major role. This was at the infamous Church Automotive.

What Y-pipe are you using?

The Y-Pipe im using came with the Stillen Gen 2 exhaust kit. It's everything from the cats to the rear.
