also, how the heck did you get it bored out to 3" ?? that would make it 76.2 MM which is 5.4 mm larger than stock, the walls of our TB are not that thick. I cannot see how you could safely take off more than 2 mm.

this is based off my own research found here

I tried porting my own throttle body and I couldn't get the car to idle right after, also talked to uprev and they agreed that after porting a vq35 throttle body they can't get it to act right for prolonged periods, even with tuning. And also that they haven't seen any HP gains out of larger throttle bodies on our cars.

no i ordered mines wen they first released that they were making 5 sets.

as for the tb.......i could be wrong on the tb size.....but i had taken a picture of it wen i first received it with a tape measure. but now that u mention it i remember looking at the inside part where the butterfly is and it did look like it tapered in smaller. as for tuning it.....i had it tuned at munkywurks in hawaii with sean. i put it on with my port matched cosworth manifold and 3"maf housing. along with my motordyne tdx v.2 exhaust and art pipes. it ran rough at first but after the tune i've never had a problem driving my car since.

i stand corrected sexrob.....i just took off my intake to get a picture of my tb......on the outer edge its over 3" but i looked closer and it does taper in.......but i do know my butterfly is bigger than stock. by comparing my picture to the one in your link i can tell that the walls of my throttle body are thinner than yours so im assuming he shaved off more.

yeah so the neck of the cosworth manifold and the outer sides of the tb is 3" and of course it tapers in to the butterfly.

also is nice to see guys such as yourself putting hard work into the vq.

yeah, you'll need to put a revup ECU in there though. might need a new flash on the ECU too to interact with the tranny since the revup version wasn't designed for that.

Very nice, kind of hard to believe, but if true then great work!!

Would like to see the gains for the CIN Exhaust only vs stock exhaust

Me too! Everytime we install one of our exhausts, there are other mods already installed.
I do know that on my personal 07 G, It picked up 18hp, but I already had intake, spacer, hfc's and tune.

Those aren't even LTH that you're using.

It can't be that powerful of a tune.. I'm saying its the dyno..

I can see a lot of the OG's have not even commented on this as they don't wish to waste their time anymore with this stuff.. Kind of part of the reason I only stick to the lounge because I'm tired of arguements and repeating myself a million times to everyone..

Either way, if this is somehow truly legit I say props to you guys.
Our dyno is calibrated monthly and always gives consistant results. He brought the car during a dyno day last month and we ran it again. The ambient temperature was 14 degrees warmer and it still made 296hp.
I definately think this is a "Wednesday" car (if you know what I mean). It makes more power than our shop G with the same mods (different headers) and I have days worth of tuning on it.

is the 300hp recipe doable with art pipes instead of berk hfc's and tdx v2 but all the other mods being the same?
