04 G35 Coupe 6MT, Dyno and Osiris Tune Results... Kinda low #'s please comment...

I just had my 04 G35 6MT Osiris Tuned and the results seem kinda low to me...

I had it tuned at Secret Services Auto in Houston, TX which is a pro-tuner.

My mods are: JWT Pop Charger, MD 1/2' Plenum Spacer MD ART test pipes, and Stillen Dual Catback Exhaust...

I have posted my Dyno sheet but if its not very clear the numbers are as follows:

Pre Tune Run: Max TQ: 202 Avg TQ: 194
Max HP: 213 Avg HP: 156

Post Tune : Max TQ: 221 Avg TQ: 209
Max HP: 233 Avg HP: 172

Max TQ inc: +19 Avg TQ inc: +15
Max HP inc: +20 Avg HP inc: +16

My A/F ratio isn't posted on the dyno but it was about 13.0 throughout with a dip into high 12's in the upper rpm range...

Are these number consistent with my mods and car? I have the DE engine non rev-up...

I was thinking my pretune number would be higher as well as post tune....

They said stock G's put about 215 to the wheels on their dyno but mine put down 213 with all mods pre tune...

Anyways let me know what you guys think... I appreciate the feedback...

Thats a really good increase and just remember diff dynos are going to read high and low.It is the gains that are made and you got some good gains and if you dont believe it get it on a another dyno to verify it.Also what kind of dyno was it.

It says Mustang Dynamometer on the sheet... so you think the gains and number are consistent with my mods etc.?

Also what other mods do you think I can get to add some more power without going FI?
I was thinking headers but I read that they are not really worth the money and pain... How much power would they add?
Any other mods to add power?

Thanks again!

Mid-upper teens in gains both avg and peak, is pretty solid for an N/A tune IMO. I think the mustang reads lowers so don't let that fools you. Just look at the benchmark gains that you have made, that's money well spent. It's probably going to put down 260s ballpark on the dynojet if it'll make you feel better about your numbers. But it's hard to guess as dyno will read differently base on their calibration and type.

I would say dont waist your money on the headers as there is not much gain for the dollars spent.

If it was a twin roller Mustang Dyno, then yes, the #'s will be low. Make sure the correction factor is set at 1.04 and they pulled it in 5th gear. Nevertheless, the gains are what's important and they are good considering your mods.
Speaking of mods, you would do better with a true CAI or Stillen intake and (for the $) headers would be better than cams.

Yeah it was a twin roller mustang and yeah I was considering doing a CAI... I might just quit it at a CAI...

they pulled in 4th... I don't know why...
would I need a retune if I change to a true CAI? and will it tune different in 4th vs. 5th?

the only thing with FI is the huge cost associated with doing it properly and all the supporting mods that are required... I don't want to go cheap and mess up the car...
Also

but thanks for your input guys

Just searched up on CAI's and people saying they don't add anything... and may even rob some power...

Does that apply even with a tune? Lol should I install a CAI and then Dyno and see what happens?

first you gained a lot 20/19 and avg 16/15 is pretty awesome. i gained max 13/13 and avg 9/11 so you really did well.
second dynos are all different. and while mustang dynos are heart breakers you shouldn't worry yourself with the final numbers. whats important is the gain and the area under the curve. i would like to see what other cars put down on the same dyno. any other Gs or Zs get dynoed the day you did too? thats really the only way to know if your G really is weaker than others.
your car didnt get slower. and most likely if you hadn't known the dyno numbers you would be happy with the gain and probably could tell the car runs much better then before. the only thing that should matter is if you take it to the track.

CAI will gain some on a tune but why bother. 200 for the cai and another 100 for retune? even if you do gain it'll be minimal...not worth 300. there's really nothing left to do bolt-on wise. just enjoy the tune.

It doesn't matter if they tuned it in 4th or 5th. We tune in 4th just so the pulls are shorter and the engine stays cool. After we are satisfied with the tune, we wait 30 minutes for the last two pulls (in 5th) because everything is heat soaked from tuning.

Good gains... no problem in my opinion.

FYI mustang is a brake loaded dyno so it cannot be compared to other dynos not even other mustangs....there will always be variations. Only an intertial dyno (dynojet, ect) can really be compared to other dynos given the same corrections mode.
