I think your best bet would be to get a supercharger, that can get you 400hp at the crank. They're not very expensive and you can probably install it yourself, except the tune. Unless you change the internals, your not going to see much gain while staying N/A.

I have near 400whp and it isnt cheap.

Research is the way to go. I did my research and found the best way to go. n/a is fun, but boost is the only way you will reach your goals. Good luck!

To build a good 400hp+ motor you really need to plan out the entire build and expect to spend around $25K or more to do it right so it won't blow up when you're trying to impress some hot babe.
+1

I'm in the middle of a TT project right now with intec racing in WA. If everything went perfectly it would have cost me about 15 total including kit, install and a few supporting mods.

Well it didn't go perfectly. 25k is a pretty reasonable number once you start factoring In some of the upgrades (I'm AT and a built tranny is in the plan- that alone is 5k once it's shipped back and forth.) also with a built block we decided to upgrade injectors and fuel pump and really go for it. We're reaching for 500.

Anyway. 400 on these cars is a lot. I would set my sights a bit lower- like... Try to actually get stock numbers. You MIGHT be able to do that with a few simple upgrades. An Osiris tune would tighten things up a bit, plenum spacer, ztube, kn filter, high flow cats and an catback exhaust. The MT boys might want to chime in about some of their particular hardware.

Some guys even swap out with 350z parts. They're a similar platform, as you probably already know.

Already the bolt ons I've mentioned are probably a few grand if purchased all new. Keep your eyes on the marketplace. Loads of deals there.

Did he really just say spend 25k to go FI? ..... I think if he just wants your moderate 400HP he wont have to spend anything near that, IMO
