15.4 1/2 quarter mile???????
Ok first off I live in Albuquerque NM. Last night I went down to the drags to see what I could pull in my A/T G coupe and the best time I could get was 15.4. So my question is this a normal time for a G in this elavation???? I have mods including HKS exhaust,NO Cats,Headers,Z tube w/ K&N,UR pulleys,Kinetix SSV and that's about it. I don't have a tune but was wondering if I were to get me that Osirus tune it would help me get to the 14 s in the Quarter mile. Thanks

Altitude my friend. Albuquerque NM is at 5,400'. That's an instant 1.1 seconds to your ET and about 6mph of taken out of your trap speed. Higher altitude = less oxygen = less power. This is why I'd never own a naturally aspirated car if I live somewhere greater than 2,000' in elevation. Turbo cars aren't remotely as effected (about 10 to 15% of that of an NA motor) because they develop their own atmosphere (turbo) and the thinner air allows the turbo to create more boost, compensating for the lack of oxygen.

You're in Maryland. In the fall and winter, it's not uncommon for density altitude conditions to be sub sea level. That means an even denser air charge and free power. There's good reason why nearly all the cars that run unnormal ET/MPHs reside in the NE during the fall and winter.
