Fuel requirements increase by at least 30% if you run e85. Make sure you have the right fuel support. My dyno sheet is on one of these pages. It was 640whp if I recall. Ill be back over there very soon to see what my new mods do.

To stay on topic I'd be more than happy to discuss all the things into my build, shoot me a PM and ill answer those questions. In regards to using e85 with bolt ons. Personally I don't think it will help unless you plan on going supercharged or turbo. But I noticed you have an 04 nonrevup. I don't think you have exhaust cam timing adjustability. My car is an 06 revup so I am not too familiar with everything that is non revup.

I got 294 whp with 270 trq mods custom intake, invidia exhaust,berk test pipe and 5/16 plenum

Vehicle: 2007 G35 Coupe 6MT
Mods:
- Mrev2
- 5/16 copper spacer
- Z-tube with Amsoil filter

Base dyno with these mods was 230hp. After the tune I gained 13hp & 10tq (Note: One of the dyno pulls showed 244hp, hence why I'm rounding up to a 13hp gain). Is a 230hp base with these mods "normal" and is a 13hp gain with a dyno tune "good"?

Other than my results being OK, I'm also disappointed that when I inquired about an economy map and adjusting the throttle body (for better/smoother throttle response) my local tuner was not familiar with this and no adjustments were made. He was a great guy and did seem like a very experienced dyno tuner with many different vehicles, including some previous G tunes that were on his computer. However after probably 2+ hrs and ~15 pulls I seem a bit disappointed with these results... should I be?

If you're running all intake bolt ons and stock exhaust I could understand low-ish baseline but 230 is still in the lower than normal side especially at your altitude.

excellent thread gentlemen. It definitely gives a good impression on what to expect with a tune and what mods to have before going. I plan to do it all very soon!

and done....
Put it all up in my own post, but here is a quick synapsis:
Tune performed by John at Z1 motorsports (GA).

Mods related to engine power are as follows:

RevUp airbox with venturi
CF Ztube
Skunk2 5/8" plenum spacer
SunAuto grounding system
Megan Resonated Test Pipes
Invidia Gemini true dual exhaust

Baseline was a very lean 235wtp and 247whp at around 14.5 a/f ratio.
After several runs he topped it out at 258wtq and 267whp at around a 12.8-13 a/f ratio.

Pardon my french but I'm partially an idiot....does the baseline mean the initial dyno run when you came in with those mods on? Meaning you gained roughly 20whp and 20wtq with the tune? Regardless, nice numbers!

Baseline is the before trial at the exact conditions before the "improvement."

After is self explanatory.

Correct. A lot of people get hung up on the numbers that pop out on the dynos. The real use for them is charting your gains/losses after modifying something.
