a tune's cost isn't really dependent on what parts you have

I think the Osiris (most recommended on here lately) is a certain cost and then tuning is separate. The individual shop may package the license and the tune / Dyno runs. Someone who can tune Osiris vs a pro tuner makes a substantial difference as you build up but for simple tables should be pretty straight forward. Are you planning on doing more? Exhaust / Hfc? I'd wait until then before i tuned. Actually- its exactly what I did. Most of the gain was just in the exhaust note... When I put the HFCs and catback on the car really woke up!

My tune will come to $595. (Osiris) That includes 3 tunes switchable using my cruise control switches. It does not affect the use of the cruise in any way. It takes about 1=2 hours on the dyno.

Based on my mods, I should get nearly 290-300whp total. They'll also set the shift points on the trans and bump up the fluid pressure in the system, make it shift a bit more aggressively!!!

I think software is about $500 and most tuning cost runs about $200-300, might be a packaged discount.

That must be one high reading dyno, unless you have alot more mods then whats in your sig. Most dynos you would be 250-260whp with those mods. 300rwhp is damn hard to crack with just bolt-ons.

Dude, hate to rain on your parade but with your mod list- at least those you've put in your garage... and being a 5AT you'll be lucky to squirt out 240. Unless you're on a dynapack dyno- Like Church's... they are well known to read high.

I'm 5AT and back in those days with 5/16ths MD spacer, K/N intake, Z tube, HFC, Stillen Catback and a Cobb tune I barely scratched 225... partly because the guy at the controls was still feeling his way around Cobb for the Nissan. I'm seeing some 240s come out of cars with similar mods to yours... Also weather / atmospheric pressure was a factor (done in March up in central AB...)

Anyway... I saw one MT guy hit 300 but it was on a dynapack at Church's and that lead to a whole debate about whether that actually signified 300 REAL RWHP. Most agree that Dynojets are the most accurate... Mustangs read low and Dynapacks are the makers of dreams.

I agree with this, its really hard to get such high numbers with just bolt ons. Boostedforlife was able to put down 290 whp on a dynojet and 315 whp at Church's dyno on n/a. Unfortunately his mod list isn't hasn't been posted yet. Your mods will probably get you about 250 whp on a dynojet, but take into account the weather conditions and location. I'm in western Colorado, 1 mile above sea level and its tough to beat a stock '99 Eclipse GS-T, n/a sucks at altitude

I don't question what you guys are saying. I was surprised too when the owner of the performance shop said such a high number. I was expecting around 240whp or so based on what I've seen on the forums with similar bolt-ons. I'll post what the dyno reads once its run. And again...... that was "his"' numbers, not mine.
