Am I the only one that's calling BS on you getting $3000 worth of free stuff?? I can understand hooking you up with free labor or tuning, but no one is going to give you thousands of dollars of free
Product just for a screw up like that. they would go out of business.

Also the thing about them overnighting the correct uprev cable makes no sense. if they had a standard cable uprev could have emailed them new code for it and turned it Into a tuner cable over email in about 5 minutes.

Okay... another thing people have to think of before going on the proverbial warpath with regards to results is elevation- which still matters a LOT to the NA crowd. Looking at El Paso we quickly see that it's at about 3800 feet- so no amount of tuning is going to change that. Sure, you could go down the hill and tune with a sheet that reads 250... but at altitude you're going right back to what you were at before.

I was running pretty low numbers (with COBB mind you, not uprev at the time) when was in red deer alberta- I think with all bolt ons (intake, spacer, HFC / exhaust) I barely broke 240hp/224 tq... and that was at 2800 feet of elevation or so.

So he's right about where he should be...

I was planning on getting an Osiris tune as well. I finally installed my MD 1/2" spacer adding that to my Borla catback, k&n drop in, and z-tube. After reading for hours on here I'm now concerned with running lean and I'd also enjoy getting some low end tq back (since I'm not installing an x-pipe). I have, however, been considering some HFCs. I have an 05 AT...

...anyone with thoughts/opinions on all of that would be appreciated

Yes- but probably better to get all your bolt ons done first. Expect rasp- just a little- with any hfc other than, for some reason, ceramic berks.

yep

Deff get all ur bolt ons before tuning it or ull just be throwing money away do to getting retuned after every part u installl. I installed all my breather mods then lastly my hfc and then got my tune...my numbers were kind of shitty but im pretty high in elevation and only have 91 octane. But im moving to houston and just got bc cams so deff gonna get it retuned for that and 93 octane

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Don't have access to a lift though so I'll prob have the tuner install the HFC for me right before the tune. Leaning towards some berks...just trying to decide how much rasp will show up. The two closest shops are 3-5 hours away so I'm going to really need to get my money's worth

Sorry to use this thread but i havent posted a new one before (just replyed to a few threads) and am not sure how to start a new thread. I am wanting to get my car (04 auto coupe 5/16 md spacer, berks hfc, hks hi flow). From what i read uprev seems to be a good choice, but what would be a reasonable cost to getting it done? AMS in chicago quoted me 850, but does that seem high? I live in northwest indiana so not sure of what other places. Any input will help. Thanks

If u havent got the osirus yet that is a fair cost due to the tuner costing $700 alone meaning ur only paying $150 for the tune. But if ur paying the cost of the tuner plus $850 for the tune, no way way to high.

I don't have osiris. AMS in chicago said its $300 for the license and for them to dyno tune about 500 so it should be around 850. This sound about right?

Here are the prices of the actual software from UpRev. Your shop may get a small discount on it, but nothing huge. Where they get you is the dyno time. $500 for dyno time sounds unreasonably high.
