G35x awd
05-07 g35x computer question about computer tuning

I was wanting to build a unconventional hotrod build and use the x engine and drivetrain. Now i some what Familiar with the awd system with these they use the abs for traction control and im pretty sure the awd system since if a abs sensor goes out it disables the awd. Now i was wondering if you can tune a stand alone system and get rid of the abs system and keep awd or will that just cause the awd not to function. Also if you can get rid of abs can you still use the sensor for the speed. Another question can you get rid of the down stream o2 and just run the front sensors just like a cat delete in the computer and have it just moniter the 02 output just for afr.

The AWD or ATTESA system is really cool in these cars. It could be used with a stand alone system and manually engaged. It uses a 2 pin engage switch on the transfer case to lock in the fronts. I'm actually going to intercept it on my next X build so I can lock all 4 wheels when I know I need it. The only issue you are going to run into with the standalone is the transmission control. You might get a microsquirt to work reflashed as a transmission controller, we were working with it on the RE4 transmissions but I would suggest just keeping the stock ECU / TCU and reflashing with UPrev so you have full control of the stock ECU. As for the downstream O2 thing. You need them hooked up if using the factory ECU. You can delete the cats and have the O2 codes turned off in Uprev but will still need the O2 sensors hooked up or it will not tune correctly.

So the attesa system will work with no abs system just with a manual engage. How about with power Distribution just 50 50 when engaged like snow mode?
