I always thought that the HIN shows and that type were much better organized and a better overall experience.
I would have to agree with you. I attended the shows for about 8 years in a row, and the quality of cars deffinately went down. Everyone went from being original and understanding truly what modifying cars is about besides tail lights, exhaust, a neon kit, and some primered ground effects. I stopped going the past 4 years because of this also but was hoping to make it down here this year to see some possible new stuff. And as for the judging, that was pretty funny too especially for the hydraulic competitions, my cousin and his son went for a few years but was hooked up with the hydraulic company that was not a sponsor so they wouldnt take first like thier cars deserved but, like they say in sports maybe it will be better and back next year.

^+1000. But a lot of shows are now like that. My friend's 350z (modified with exhaust, intake, wheels, custom system, suspension etc) lost to a bone stock 350z... The judges don't judge fair all the time. I can say the best show I've been to by far this year is Battle of the Imports and the judges were on point...I mean if you told them there was a mod on the car and they couldnt see it it was your job to point out exactly where it was and they looked for it.
