G35 Sedan SHOWCASE GTG II - October 23, 2010 - Long Beach, CA
Had a great time yesterday. Thanks to everyone that helped put it all together and organize it. Major thanks to the sponsors as well. I'm not even going to comment on the cops, enough has been said lol.
Nice turnout - looks like a great event! Sorry I missed it (coupe over sedans??? What The Whaa???)
Strange that the cops hassled - last year there was no issue... Chris, sorry I suggested not contacting, last year I was told permit was only needed if there were booths selling items (I dont think that happened this year?)... Something may have happened since last year that upped the security?
This looks to be a promising annual gig - kudos to the organizers for making it a success

The first set of cops that rolled through in the morning were cool. They stopped back by a couple times during the first hour we were there, joked with us about giving us tickets for illegal mods and gave us lots of compliments on our cars. The second set of cops were called out there by residents that lived in the boats adjacent to the lot. They came to break things up. They gave us some BS about needing a permit for more than 25 people gathering in a public place. Also hassled us because we had a vendor that had a table setup (even though they weren't selling anything). At least they weren't called till the raffle was already complete. Sucks that we all had to split right when the raffle was don't but thankfully they didn't break things up in the middle of our event. Next year you can count on this not happening as we will be in a different location, likely on private property with permission from the owner to be there.
so was Levon actually getting his front end painted??
Couple things from the pix:
Black G w/ the G37 coupe wheels looks clean. Great combo
Veilside Z's front end looks like a dust buster
I still love the Apollo's on Tyco's sedan.
Looks like it was a great time!
