I guess we could do similar - with a few minor changes... we'll put up levees and create a trough to feed the homeless - same principal as your idea

Dude, you've got to go. Fly to Austin, I'll pick you up, and you can join us in the Texas caravan out there. You can book a round trip here and then enjoy a G ride with the crew. We might have 6-8 Gs headed west. When would you ever get a chance to do that????

I don't remember exactly where you live in Florida but it would be cheap for the tickets. Southwest less than $400 and you could find something for a lot less than that if you used Travelocity or something similar. Hell it's going to cost me $500 in gas round trip so your flight will be cheaper than that.

Thanks for the invite Tim... if I do go, I'll probably fly straight into LAX. I priced it and it wasn't that expensive... It all depends on my financial and family situation then.

 

 

I'd be driving from Orlando, FL (which is about 2,500 miles to Long Beach, CA). As long as there are no snags in my plans between now and end of September, I'd be fulfilling my lifelong dream of road tripping out to California
