Gabe and myself have been discussing some details about some of the Houston guys going.

Tim, when we go to Austin within the month, we'll get with you and we can discuss details about taking the convoy out there. Do you know if anyone else from CentexVQ that would be interested in going? I know that Rob is generally down to do almost anything. Mauricio interested too? May be hard for him because of Sandy and the kiddo.

El Paso guys, once we start to figure things out, Gabe or myself will be sending you messages and we can coordinate from there.

Only thing that is stopping myself, right now, is my school schedule. I know Gabe is in the same boat. Once my Fire Academy schedule is posted, then I know I'll be able to work something out with my instructors to make this.

The Houston guys who have sparked interested in going are already prepared to be spending the cash to make this trip this coming fall.

I googled the distance from Austin to Long Beach as a roundabout location and it's about 1400 miles one way. The way gas prices are rising it looks like it will def. be at least $500 just in gas to and from so I'm thinking depending on how long we stay the trip will cost somewhere around $1500 with hotel/motel, food, entertainment, and spending money. I highly doubt anyone from Centex would be interested but I'll post up a thread to see if there are any peeps interested.

BTW did I already say somewhere I'm stoked for this? The travel I googled takes us through Phoenix, Ariz. so maybe we can talk ttrank into joining us for the remainder of the trip.

And Marcus, speaking of keeping up... I sometimes can't keep up with Gabe the way he drives. Last time I actually played catch up, we both got tickets. I've never gotten tickets before until I started hanging out with his fat a$$.

And I thought Tim was from Washington....

 

Tim (ttrank) is from AZ. Ernie (Flyinglumpia) is the guy from WA who drove down for GTG I and flew down for GTG II.

 

Maybe not but we'd have a lot of fun trying.
