I read some about it on another forum and wanted to know if any of you have installed it on your '07 yet.

I'm going to try going from the trunk first. If I don't like that then I will move it up to the console.

Are you sure this works with teh steering wheel?

On the 07+ G35, the only thing works with this unit is the volume controls.

On the older versions, yes the track up and down works with teh steering wheel.

This is because the 07+ G35 buttons for up and down is for PRESET UP AND DOWN not SEEK UP AND DOWN.

I have that unit with an 07 coupe, and it works great with the steering wheel controls, giving access to song forward/backward, and of course volume.

When installing in the coupe, though, keep in mind the layout of the components in the trunk is slightly different than in the sedan as posted in the instructions on the web site.

the 07 coupe is ENTIRELY different in confirguration than an 07 sedan... It doesnt work with the 07 sedan that way.

The only controls on the steeringwheel that works is volume up and down. Thats it.

On FX35/FX45, older g35, it works normally.

I don't understand the point of this cable.

I just plan on using a $5 headphone jack to RCA converter and run it through my AUX input.

Much cheaper than $185.

SilverG2007, you won't be able to control the ipod through the dash if you just do it that way

that is what I am looking for. controlling the ipod through the headunit. that is what I did with my older car and loved it. I already have the 3.5mm headphone jack to rca cable. when changing songs I have to take my eye off the road. and that is dangerous so I rarely use it. most of my songs are mp3 format and I have about 40gb of em so even with a mp3 cd, the music box (which can only rip .wav files) and a 2gb cf card I am still missing out on most of my music. A bit nit-picky I know but having all 40gb at my disposal was an awesome feeling in my old car.
