Bluetooth failure

For ths first time in 11 months, I cant use the phone (Blackberry) in the car. The car dissply tries to but fails to connect.

After several attempts, I gave up and thought I would jsts re-pair the phone. But it wont let me delete the phone or add new ones!! I tired to Pair Phone and Remove Paired Phones.

So I thought I would do the reverse, and remove and re-pair it on the Blackerry side. It let me delete, and add a device, found MyCar, asked to confirm and completed successfully. But the car still can find a connection!

How do I trouble shoot this? ... or is this something only a dealer can fix?? And if they do 'replace' the device, does this impact all that music that I have recorded on the the MusicBox???

I was finally able to remove the Blackberry entry by first diasbling Bluetooth on the phone...so now I am able to start fresh.

I did the cell phone pairing, and all the handshaking was perfect. The car display even reported Blackberry connected.

But when I press Phone, it displays:

Connecting to Bluetooth Phone...
No Phone Available.

All the properties on the Blackberry appears perfect (my under MyCar the device numbers match the ones on the car).

The car display always used to report Blackberry connected right after Reading Compact Flash. It still sees the CF card...and then nothing more.

Suggestions??

I had issues with my car hooking up to my Motorola and it was just a setting on the phone itself that was messing things up. Same situation as you.

But it was working fine for 10 months..and there were no recent changes to my phone...

Did power down and back up...no change...

Still No Phone Available.

I just did a 'battery pull'. Usually ltake about 20 minutes or so to reset. We'll see if that fixes it, If not, I have to either try the dealer (and they wil do what?? - blame it one the phone -- even though its on the list of compatible phones?) or I'll need to try to get my phone replaced somehow.

SUCCESS FOR NOW! Thanks for the tip. I let the system reset (battery pull), and now its working again! I'll have to give a few days to see if all is back to normal, but at least its a workaround for now! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Also, check for the following just in case:

1. Any other device (PC, other phones) in the area with bluetooth interfering
2. Firmware/software updates for your phone
