According to that the first upgrade for the 07/08 map software is going to be available in May, though it doesn't specify how the upgrade will be done. I've heard rumors of upgrade via CF card and I've also heard rumors of pricey dealership installs. Someone less lazy than me should call and find out how the upgrade process will go.

 

I think it is crap that we should have to pay for the upgrade, my Nav sucked from the get-go. It's telling me that the closest Best Buy is 500 miles away when I know there are like 4 in C-Bus. The dealership messed with it and had no answer. I take my TomTom with me and use it instead of my Navi....

 

I love my navi... I guess it depends on where you live.

 

I must admit that the G's navi is really good, one of the best iv used, including my last 2005 330 and current 2007 tl-s.

 

^ I don't know... I like the TL-S' navi more than the G's.... although not by much.

 

I have to agree with Kool.
The navi in the G is much more user friendly, compared to our Acura.
Both are accurate, and although the Acura doesn't lock while driving, the menus and options are way easier to find and adjust in the G.

Does anyone know if this would somehow include a Gracenote db update, or how we can get one?
I have CDs that come up blank in my 07 that title correctly in my friend's 08.
I'd like in update if possible. The software is just an extra step and a PITA.

 

Double ditto here, particularly the voice commands, much faster to get at something.
