It only allows access to navigation while the car is on the move. It will not allow video playback while the car is on the move.

This is why we are all entitled to our own opinion and reasons for owning a G35.
It sounds like you bought an AWD vehicle in hopes that it would also be able to do 4x4 burnouts.
I bought an AWD vehicle in hopes that it would provide maximum grip even in the poorest of road conditions.
I wouldn't call it "pretty lame". The AWD in the G35 does what it's designed to do and that is get the most traction and prevent wheels from slipping.
Did you get your video working yet?

yes i bought the x for the same reason, also so i didnt have to change to snow tires every freakin year....

but since its not 100% all time awd. IMO it should have the function of turning awd off or something. i dont see a difference in turn vdc off. maybe once i drive it in the snow ill be able to tell a difference

You will see a big difference, with and without VDC, in the snow. I would recommend you do NOT ever drive this car in the snow with VDC off. Only turn it off if you get stuck in the snow (which shouldn't happen in the X).

I overlooked that one letter "X". As others have said AWD cars are meant to get better traction, not worse. X's are less likely to light them up because not all of the power is going to the rear wheels. The front would need to spin also. That's like 153 HP to the front and 153 to the back. I realize it not a 50%/50% split but I use that to make a point. A 153 HP car is probably not going to do great burnouts either.

If you hold a button down for an entended period of time that isn't meant to be held down eventually the computer will see it as a fault condition and disable the button all together - that is why the button stops working after a while.

I agree with what you all said. But even at 50/50 split it has enough power to light all 4 of them up. So my thought was that the systems are preventing it form doing so.
I dont know if any of you noticed it but sometimes it spins tires off when it switches from 1st to 2nd gear also so definitely it should have no problems to do it off the start.
Also i dont know if its true or not but i heard that FX35 with modified chip spins 4 of them.

Ebay chips FTW!!!

The problem isn't power, its power delivery. If they made a m/t AWD, you could kill the tires no problem. But, you are stuck with a torque converter.
