Im a very happy new owner of a 2008 G35xS but I have not been able to figure out a very annoying iphone interface problem. The phone interface displays and plays all of my music as expected but Im experiencing greyed out, non-selectable menus when I try to change songs. It only occurs when I attempt to change songs between different artists, not when I try to change songs within the same artist. For some reason, I have to back all the way out to the very first menu and then re-select artist, album, song etc. just to change a song. I know, not a major deal, just annoying because I have to scroll through tons of selections just to change one song. Has anyone experienced the same problem? The dealer wasn't helpful--said he hasn't had similar complaints. Unfortunately, haven't tested other ipods or changed the cable yet. Any obvious setting changes that Im missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I dont have an 08 G and such but I have used my iphone in many peoples cars with ipod connection, including mine

try locking your phone then hooking it up to the radio/source
most of the time that fixes it

 

By locking the phone do you mean using the password lock?

 

no just click the button on top of the phone

make sure you have no apps running or any music playing
