I personally don't understand why it was never a feature in the first place for one of the most technologically advanced phones.

 

Yep- still not able to download phonebook. Not really a big deal b/c the car only holds 40 contacts anyway. As long as my bluetooth works i'm happy.

 

It sucks to not be able to transfer the contacts but since it only holds such few contacts it doesn't really bother me that much anymore. I found the best thing to do is just use the iPhone's favorites tab and put all my "important" contacts in there. Makes it real easy to dial a number and then just speak to the car.

 

fyi version 3.0.1 is out. and you still cannot send mms and still cannot upload phonebook to car. and another thing i hate about the phone you cant save to sim. only phone.

 

3.1 is the version when MMS will be enabled. not to be confused with 3.0.1

AT&T is ready for the MMS to be turned on, Apple has pushed the release date to the end of Aug, or the first of November without reason.

i work for AT&T and my brother in law works for Apple.

haha, that is what I was thinking when I first got my G. I remember saying how the hell does this not work, this is the iPhone it must be able to. I must of sat there trying to figure it out for like 40min and eventually got upset and manually plugged it my most frequent contacts.
